Police'll not hesitate to take action against Ramoji Rao's co
Hyderabad, Nov 10: Andhra Pradesh police would not hesitate to initiate action against Margadarsi Financiers, owned by media baron Ch Ramoji Rao, which is under attack from the ruling Congress for alleged financial irregularities.
"If need be, the police will not hesitate to initiate an inquiry," Director General of Police Swaranjit Sen told reporters here.
He was replying to a question whether the police was contemplating any suo motu action in view of the raging controversy.
"So far, we have not taken any suo motu action. If need be, we may do it," he said.
To a query, the DGP said "it is not a case of speculation. We go on fact".
However, no case has been registered so far, Sen said.
